FACTS & FIGURES
On September 16, 1946, the Austrian Postal Authorities released a beautiful set of eight surtaxed stamps to publicize the opening of the Anti-Fascist exhibition “NIEMALS VERGESSEN!” (NEVER FORGET!) held in the Künstlerhaus (exhibition center) in Vienna. In this context, all stamps bear allegorical figures regarding Fascism and the surtax contributed to the funding of the event.
